CACI is seeking an experienced AI Pilot & Data Senior Technical Writer to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Inspector General (OIG). This role offers a unique opportunity to document how artificial intelligence is tested and put to work in federal oversight, where accuracy matters as much as it does in an audit report or an investigation.
As the AI Pilot & Data Senior Technical Writer, you will turn the work of AI engineers, data engineers, and analysts into clear, accurate documentation that Government decision-makers, reviewers, and the next team can rely on. You will write the deliverables for OIG's AI pilots, from pilot charters and solution designs to validation reports and transition and knowledge-transfer packages, and you will build the data dictionaries for each pilot's data sets, which become the starting content for the enterprise data catalog on the new data platform. Working closely with the AI & Data Use-Case Program Manager, AI engineers, and Government Product Owners, you will make sure every pilot is documented well enough to decide on, support, and build on. The position is primarily remote, with on-site work at DHS OIG headquarters in Washington, DC as requested, during core hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern. Join us to make OIG's AI work understandable, auditable, and ready to scale. Responsibilities:

Document responsible AI information for each pilot, including intended use, data used, evaluation results, human review steps, and limitations, in a consistent format across pilots
