About the Position

Job Title: RN MS/Tele (Ortho) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Must have an active state license (multi-state or specific state) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Experience in Orthopedics - 1 year of EPIC experience required Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical and telemetry care. The nurse will work on an orthopedic spine unit providing care for patients post-surgical procedures. The unit specializes in spinal surgeries, such as laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies. The nurse will manage comprehensive care including pain management and physical therapy support. Patients may present with various diagnoses including cardiac issues, diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory conditions. The nurse will participate in special procedures such as bedside lumbar punctures and post-operative care. Patient care ratios will generally be 1:5-6 for adult patients. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care. Agency staff may be required to float to other units as needed based on census demands.
