As a Security Officer Patrol Access Support in Akron, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness across the site. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help support site personnel during changing conditions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including operational areas, buildings, and perimeter zones, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity, verifying access permissions when required, and reporting issues according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or maintenance or hazard concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
