Nucor supports its teammates with top-tier benefits like Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance, 401K and Roth accounts, Profit sharing, Pay-for-performance bonuses, Paid parental leave, Tuition reimbursement, Stock program, Scholarships and more.Basic Job Functions:Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.Acetylene torch and plasma cutting MIG welding and stick welding using 7018 Change liners, grates, hammers, etc.Work in outdoor and indoor environments.Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projectsMinimum Requirements:Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.Flexible working overtime in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.Ability to work standing or walking for up to 10 hours per day.Preferred Qualifications:Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
