About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid Registered Nurse License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Patient care experience in a medical surgical ICU - Experience with a patient ratio of 2-3 Description: Minimum experience required is 1 year. First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, and GI bleed. Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy and targeted temperature management is expected. Nurses will assist with procedures including central line insertions and chest tube management. Staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 2-3 patients. The unit has 15 beds with an average daily census of 12. Additional competencies required include ventilator management and the ability to interpret arterial blood gases. Comfort in working with interdisciplinary teams is essential. Nurses are expected to work if one major holiday falls within the assignment period. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed. Compliance with all requirements is mandatory before starting the assignment. All required documentation must be provided on time to ensure a smooth onboarding process. This position may require floating within the facility as needed. Candidates must be able to work every other weekend, unless otherwise specified.
