Physician (Gastroenterologist)

Job Title

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Authorized

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Providing outpatient and electronic consultation services related to gastroenterology and hepatology.
• Overseeing the administration of conscious sedation.
• Performing standard GI procedures such as EGD (gastroscopy), colonoscopies, and other procedures.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods, and techniques.
• Work in collaboration with gastroenterology advanced practice provider(s) throughout the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Healthcare System.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
