As one of North America's largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.As a Maintenance Mechanic 1 (2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays) you keep our production and packaging lines running. You'll troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and identify and replace worn or defective parts before they cause downtime. This position has an hourly pay rate of $38.00 per hour, plus shift differential for applicable shifts.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production and packaging equipment with minimal supervisionMaintain and repair packaging equipment including fillers, conveyors, palletizers, and bottling systemsComplete electrical troubleshooting including sensors, relays, photo-eyes, and motor connections (120V–480V)Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, and variable speed drives used in plant operationsInstall, modify, and repair conveyor systems including roller, belt, chain, and IntraloxPerform preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtimeDocument maintenance activities, work orders, and completed repairs in our CMMS (MaintainX)Support equipment installations, relocations, and modifications, using shop tools and fabrication equipment as neededWhat You'll BringHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required4 or more years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience (required) — packaging, food and beverage, plastics, or a similar production environment (preferred)2 or more years of electrical troubleshooting experience, up to 480V2 or more years of fabrication AND machining (mill, drill press)Ability to read schematics and work from work ordersCMMS experience (MaintainX, Maximo, SAP PM, Fiix, or similar)Welding experience preferredVFD or PLC troubleshooting exposureChemical, CPG, or food-grade manufacturing background (preferred)Physical RequirementsOccasionally exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force (up to 1/3 of the time)Frequently applying 10 to 25 pounds of force (from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time)Regularly required to handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds throughout the shift (2/3 or more of the time) for moving objectsMust have the ability to perform the following: Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, HandlingMust be able to visually inspect parts and hear audible alarms and equipment signals, with or without accommodationKIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
