Senior CNC Machinist - Direct Hire

Location: Berne, IN
Pay: $28-$32/hour (based on experience)
1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Overtime: As needed

Pro Resources is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Berne, IN to hire a Senior CNC Machinist for a direct hire opportunity . This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who can independently set up, troubleshoot, and make program edits while holding tight tolerances.

What You'll Be Doing

• Set up, operate, and run CNC machines for precision part production
• Machine parts to exact tolerances based on complex blueprints
• Load, edit, and adjust CNC programs to match tooling and job requirements
• Select proper tooling and make adjustments based on material and application
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality standards
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and material issues independently
• Perform hand finishing work such as filing, fitting, and scraping
• Record labor and production data accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What You Need to Qualify

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Trade school certification or equivalent hands-on machining experience preferred
• Advanced CNC machining experience (setup + program editing required)
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints independently
• Strong understanding of tooling selection and machining applications
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and adjust programs, tooling, and processes
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to pass a background check

This is a true senior-level role-candidates must be comfortable running machines, completing setups, and making program edits without supervision.
