Your Role as the Charge Nurse (RN)

Skilled Nursing

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community.

In this role youll oversee nursing services during assigned shifts supervise caregiving teams and ensure residents needs are met with professionalism compassion and compliance with state federal and Americare standards. Youll serve as a key clinical resource supporting care delivery and fostering a safe respectful environment.

Summary

The Charge Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.

This role guides nursing staff administers medications and treatments completes resident assessments and serves as a central communicator between residents families providers and leadership.

This role may also be known as:

Charge Nurse (RN) RN Supervisor Floor Nurse (RN) Shift Supervisor (RN) or Registered Nurse Charge Role.

What Youll Do

• Oversee nursing services administration and clinical supervision during assigned shifts
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards policies and procedures
• Supervise and guide nursing staff including LPNs CNAs and CMAs
• Complete and update resident assessments care plans and clinical documentation
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families physicians and nursing leadership
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met
• Address document and report incidents accidents and concerns including suspected abuse or neglect
• Ensure appropriate supplies equipment and medications are available and communicated to leadership
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety
• Uphold Americares mission vision values and company policies

What You Bring

Licensure / Certification

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Experience & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills
• Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations
• Experience in skilled nursing long-term care or senior living preferred

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
• Push pull and maneuver up to 100 lbs. including resident mobility assistance 350lbs
