About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience License: Active state license required Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, CRT, RRT Must-Have: NICU experience required Description: RRT/CRT NICU candidate with NICU experience is required. NRP certification is required. Candidates must hold a valid state license. EOW rotation is required. Local candidates will not be accepted. Travel experience is necessary. Previous charge experience is not applicable. Charting system experience is required with knowledge of Community Client. Preferred experience includes Trauma Level I and II. Travel experience is a must. Skills related to this position include: Adult critical care. Aerosol setup and management. Assistance in high-risk deliveries. Understanding and managing various respiratory conditions such as ARDS, pneumonia, and bronchodysplasia. Direct intubation assistance and emergency response. Patient transport responsibilities in various settings. Proficiency in interpreting arterial blood gases. Weaning patients from mechanical ventilation. Experience in neonatal transports and care. Familiarity with various ventilators and respiratory technologies. The candidate will work with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The unit serves a diverse age group including neonates, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates must be willing to float within the facility when necessary. Recent professional cancellations will be reviewed prior to approval.
