Registered Nurse – NICU / Pediatric Float Pool

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 36–48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patient populations
• Adapt clinical practice to the needs of each unit within scope of practice as required by float pool assignment
• Participate in unit orientation modules and complete specialty-specific training as assigned
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and maintain compliance with all credentialing and documentation requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Prior NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
• BSN preferred
