We’re seeking an experienced Estimatorto take ownership of mechanical projects from initial bid through to completion. As Estimator, you’ll produce competitive estimates before managing awarded projects through delivery, maintaining control of cost, quality, schedule and profitability. What’s in it for you Play a key role in capitalising on an expanding pipeline of public and private sector opportunities Join a business where your expertise, accuracy and commercial judgement will be genuinely valued Real autonomy, including the flexibility to recommend the estimating software and tools you believe will deliver the best results $110000 to $130000 base salary depending on experience, plus annual bonus You’ll be responsible for Producing detailed estimates, including takeoffs, labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs Reviewing drawings, specifications and bid documents to identify risks, exclusions and value engineering opportunities Managing projects from award through completion, including schedules, procurement, RFIs, submittals and change orders Maintaining control of project budgets, forecasts, gross margin and profitability Building strong relationships with clients, engineers, architects, field teams, subcontractors and suppliers You’ll need 8 plus years of experience estimating and managing commercial mechanical construction projects Strong estimating expertise with expertise in large scale mechanical estimates and a track record of accurate, commercially competitive bids Experience with CIS plus the ability to confidently interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation Government or public sector bidding experience is highly desirable, although strong private sector mechanical estimating experience will also be considered Strong commercial judgement, attention to detail, accountability and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Location Long Branch, New Jersey Our client is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
