Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Location: North Carolina

Position Overview

Dzeel Clinical is seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a 13-week contract assignment with one of our healthcare partners. The PMHNP will provide psychiatric assessments, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
• Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within the authorized scope of practice.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nursing staff, and other behavioral health professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, clinical protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current, unrestricted authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina.
• Current PMHNP-BC national board certification.
• Current DEA registration, as required for the assignment.
• Previous psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
