What You Will Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and crafting detailed care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health conditions, either independently or in collaborative practice with physicians
• Providing education to patients and their families about wellness, prevention, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and treatments consistent with your qualifications

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a corresponding specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to earn within 90 days)
