Medical Director of Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant/Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

Job Description Nemours Children's Hospital Florida is seeking a BMT/HCT Medical Director to join our team in Orlando. Scope note: This role will focus on HCT and non‑gene‑modified cellular therapy services; gene therapies and genetically modified cellular products are not included in the initial program scope. Responsibilities Appointment as the Transplant/Cellular Therapy (HCT) Program Director with a vision for growth and program maturity. Provide comprehensive care to transplant/cellular therapy patients in outpatient and inpatient settings at Nemours Children's Hospital Florida, including inpatient attending time and night/weekend call/rounds. Build new program infrastructure: clinical pathways, policies, SOPs, quality management framework aligned with FACT‑JACIE standards, and establish outcomes tracking and reporting workflows for registry participation. Educate and supervise trainees (residents, medical students, advanced practice practitioners) within the Nemours‑UCF academic environment. Perform procedures such as bone marrow aspirate/biopsy and lumbar puncture as clinically indicated. Engage in divisional educational and scholarly activities, quality improvement, and clinical research appropriate to a developing transplant program. Represent the division and program in community and national outreach, communications, and collaborative partnerships. Qualifications Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Board certified or board eligible in Hematology/Oncology. Valid state medical license & DEA. Demonstrated clinical experience in pediatric HCT/cellular therapy and prior leadership in program development, quality systems, and outcomes reporting in multidisciplinary environments aligned with HCT standards and registry expectations.
