Associate Attorney (Privacy, Cybersecurity & AI)

Our internationally recognized Am Law 100 client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join its Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Emerging Technology practice. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who enjoy sophisticated client work and want an alternative to the traditional partner-track path while remaining deeply engaged in substantive legal matters.

Role Overview

The associate will advise clients on a broad range of privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and artificial intelligence matters. The practice includes regulatory compliance, transactional support, product counseling, incident response, and emerging technology issues.

Attorneys in this role may assist clients with privacy and data protection programs, cybersecurity compliance, AI governance initiatives, technology transactions, regulatory inquiries, cross-border data issues, and privacy-related diligence in corporate transactions.

This position offers the opportunity to work with innovative companies across a variety of industries while helping clients navigate a rapidly evolving legal and regulatory landscape.

Candidate Profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school required
• Active bar membership in the jurisdiction where the attorney will be based
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in privacy, cybersecurity, data protection, technology transactions, or related areas
• Experience advising on privacy and data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance matters
• Experience drafting and negotiating data-related agreements and commercial contracts
• Familiarity with privacy, cybersecurity, and emerging technology issues, including artificial intelligence, is strongly preferred
• Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Strong academic credentials required
• Privacy or cybersecurity certifications are a plus
