Bartender Position at Mortar & Pestle

We're looking for a talented Bartender to join the crew at Mortar & Pestle, our craft cocktail bar inside Curry Up Now San Mateo. If you've got the speed, the style, and the spirit to deliver top-tier drinks with serious hospitality—we want to meet you.

You'll crush this role if you:

• Know your way around a jigger, shaker, and muddler
• Can batch with precision and pour with flair
• Are fluent in classic cocktails and curious about modern mixology
• Can deliver warm, confident hospitality in a high-energy environment
• Can work Sundays (non-negotiable—we need weekend warriors)

What you'll be doing:

• Mixing cocktails with consistency and creativity
• Providing stellar guest service at the bar and restaurant tables
• Supporting food and bar operations (including cleaning and restocking)
• Using the POS system efficiently
• Representing Mortar & Pestle with personality, knowledge, and pride

What we're looking for:

• 1+ year of bartending experience (restaurant or cocktail bar preferred)
• RBS certification required
• Food Handler's certification required
• Strong communication skills (English required)
• Available to work Sundays, plus holidays and evenings
