Controls Engineer

We're seeking a Controls Engineer to design, develop, and support electrical control systems for custom manufacturing equipment. This role involves PLC/HMI programming, electrical design, project leadership, troubleshooting, and customer support from concept through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and modify electrical control systems
• Develop PLC, HMI, and PC-based control programs
• Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and AutoCAD Electrical drawings
• Develop BOMs, manuals, test procedures, and engineering documentation
• Perform electrical calculations and component sizing
• Support manufacturing, installation, startup, and commissioning activities
• Lead projects and coordinate with customers and vendors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree + 1 year of experience OR Associate's Degree + 4 years of related experience
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, AutoCAD Electrical, and troubleshooting control systems
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 79 standards
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
