Labor & Delivery RN

Schedule

Shift options: 36 or 48 hours/week (Days). Weekend requirement: 4–6 weekend shifts per 6-week block.

Requirements

• 2 years RN experience required; 3 years preferred.
• Patient ratio experience: 2:1.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP (pending certifications acceptable).
• Previous experience in Labor & Delivery care, antepartum care, and triage of obstetrical patients.
• Experience with external fetal monitoring (EFM), assisting with vaginal deliveries, and circulating/recovering C-sections.
• Proficient in sterile vaginal exams, insulin drips, and maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC).
• Neonatal/OB skills and knowledge of isolation/PPE precautions.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor and assess fetal and maternal well-being.
• Assist with obstetrical emergencies and perform related procedures.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation of patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on labor and delivery processes.

Compliance / Notes

Pending state license accepted but must be obtained prior to start. Required background checks and labs within 48 business hours after contract signing. Time-off requests to be submitted upon application, up to 4 days may be auto-approved. Orientation modules to be completed onsite (approx. 4–6 hours).
