We are an established and reputable commercial drywall and acoustical ceiling contractor seeking a highly motivated, career-driven project manager with specific relevant experience in drywall and metal framing as well as managing multiple sub-trades. The candidate will be handling multiple projects ranging from $100,000 to $5,000,000+ throughout CT, Western MA, and RI, which will require frequent day traveling between our home office and the job sites. Time will be split 50/50 between the office and the field. Specific duties include but not limited to: project scheduling, budgetary and cost control, preparation of submittals, RFI's, and change orders, and general supervision of site activities. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and project management software are required. Experience with Sage 300/Timberline preferred.

 

The ideal candidate must be able to work as a team player in our collaborative environment and will have strong people skills to establish and maintain relationships with our clients and vendors.

Other key responsibilities to include:

- Participation in job meetings – both on site and remotely

- Reviewing key dates and manpower on your job sites weekly with the office

- Constant communication with field personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and quality control

- Coordination and management of subcontractors

- Being firm but fair with customers regarding crew size, scheduling, extra work, etc. in an effort to balance project-specific and company goals while maintaining tact and diplomacy

- Analyzing labor hours and job cost data with management team, understanding reasons for variances against budget
