WCS Healthcare is actively seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for an established Ambulatory Surgery Center in Westchester County, NY . This is an excellent opportunity for an OR nurse looking to work in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment with a consistent daytime schedule and no overnight responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both scrubbing and circulating , possess strong critical thinking skills, and be committed to delivering exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process.
Schedule- Full-Time Opportunity
- Day Shift
- Ambulatory Surgery Center Setting
- No overnight shifts
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures
- Perform both scrub and circulate nursing duties
- Assist with patient positioning while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff throughout procedures
- Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly within the facility's EMR system (Centricity)
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and documentation of surgical specimens
- Maintain sterile technique and compliance with infection control standards
- Identify potential issues and initiate corrective actions as needed
- Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures
- Monitor patients and provide high-quality perioperative nursing care
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience required
- Experience with both scrubbing and circulating preferred
- Acute Care or Hospital Operating Room experience preferred
- Experience utilizing electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Centricity
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience
- Ophthalmology surgery experience
- Pediatric surgical experience
- High-volume outpatient surgical settings
Experienced OR Nurse with scrub and circulate skills
Team-oriented and patient-focused
Comfortable working in a fast-paced ambulatory environment
