Finish Painter

Operate and tend high volume low pressure (HVLP) pump-style spray guns to apply industrial grade finishes to tow trucks and other equipment ensuring a flawless high-gloss finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sands and prepares surface for painting.
• Ensure surfaces are clean, smooth and ready to accept new paint.
• Builds topcoat thickness of high gloss finish.
• Reads blueprints to understand parts and how they relate to each other.
• Inspects and evaluates the quality of the finished product.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and according to specifications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as painter with in-depth knowledge on mixing and matching paint colors and chemicals.
• Proficient in setting up, using and maintaining gravity fed HVLP guns and pump style spray systems.
• Keen technique for polishing and buffing to achieve a flawless smooth result.
• Comprehension of technical documentation and instructions to ensure correct mixing ratios and application methods.

• Required to wear a full-face respirator with filtration during paint operations.
