This position offers a dynamic environment with diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric cases, and provides opportunities to demonstrate your expertise in a fast-paced clinical setting.ResponsibilitiesDraw blood specimens from patients, ensuring safety and accuracy in accordance with established procedures.Verify patient demographic information and label specimens accurately in the presence of the patient.Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining quality control standards.Maintain detailed records and documentation of procedures performed.Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, creating a trusting environment.Ensure a safe, professional, and welcoming environment at all times.Perform specimen collection in various locations, including patient service centers and clinical offices, as directed.Follow all policies related to safety, confidentiality, and company standards.Support process improvement initiatives and demonstrate leadership behaviors when appropriate.Required SkillsExcellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong customer service and communication skills.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.Proficiency in data entry and specimen labeling procedures.Additional Skills & RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and a clean driving record if travel is involved.Spanish speaking skills are preferred but not required.This role offers the opportunity to enhance your clinical skills while providing compassionate patient care in a supportive environment.
