Advanced Practice Registered Nurse MidwifeThis job is for an advanced practice registered nurse midwife who provides comprehensive primary and preventative health care and disease management in the area of women's health. The incumbents in this job have routine access to individually identifiable health information including the patients' entire medical records on a need-to-know basis only. All employees of NCHC are responsible to practice good risk management, quality assurance, and deliver excellent internal and external customer service. All employees must understand and exemplify the organization's mission, vision, and core values.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Performs primary and preventative women's health services and disease management to individuals within a specified scope of practice under the auspices of a collaborating physician.Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data through patient interviews.Participates in the provider on-call.Performs routine in-patient.Participates in in-patient rounds as.Performs office-based procedures with appropriate training.Educates patients on procedures performed and the importance of follow-up.Maintains accurate and legible medical records in compliance with NCHC.Prescribes medications and therapies for treatment and preventative.Assist in the development of department policies and.Collects in-patient invoices and submits them to the CMO's office on a timely.Participates in department and Clinical Services.Participates in health initiatives and collaboratives.Meets patient utilization standards set by NCHC.Qualifications:Registered Nurse with a master's degree as an advanced nurse practitioner.Licensed by the state of NJ as a registered nurse and an advanced practice nurse / nurse midwife with prescriptive authority preferred (NJ CDS, federal DEA).Federal NPI.Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.Considerable knowledge of state and federal public health laws specifically in regard to Medicine.As a condition of employment, we require that all staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
