Registered Nurse - Postpartum Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our postpartum care unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing care for patients following vaginal or cesarean deliveries, including tubal ligation and circumcision procedures. This role requires the ability to float to NICU or L&D as needed and will involve weekend shifts to meet staffing needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for postpartum patients.
• Administer medications and Blood/Blood Products as needed.
• Operate and manage CPAP/BiPap, Drains, Epidural Pumps, PCA Pumps, and Syringe Pumps.
• Utilize Cooling/Warming Blankets and Wound Vac as part of patient care.
• Perform EKGs and monitor patients for any complications.
• Scrub and circulate during Cesarean sections including LDRP and Low-Risk Antepartum care.
• Attend all deliveries and provide optimal couplet care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.
• Previous charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Experience with various nursing procedures, including but not limited to wound care, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
