Staff Accountant

Our client, a growing manufacturing company in the Raleigh area, is seeking an Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting financial reporting, month-end close activities, and operational accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in helping drive process improvements within a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records Assist with inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and manufacturing cost analysis Prepare and file sales and use tax returns Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities Review vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable processes Monitor cash flow and identify unusual transactions or trends Partner with operations and production teams to improve financial controls and reporting Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Requirements Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar platforms is a plus Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
