This role involves close collaboration with electrical and systems teams as well as customer representatives to ensure effective support and execution of Copperhead missions in a variety of rugged environments.As a key member of our Quincy, MA based team, the Electrical Engineer will work closely with the program leadership and a wide spectrum of cross-departments focused on solving hard problems and changing the trajectory of the industry. This position will be responsible for designing and supporting the integration of various electrical subsystems, supporting testing efforts, and ensuring overall system performance meets the required specifications and standards. Join our dynamic team and help us build the next generation of autonomous maritime systems!WHAT YOU'LL DODevelop electrical schematics, power system single line diagrams, system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within a subsystem and between subsystemsIntegrate a variety of existing electrical sub-systems to provide novel capability with an eye towards maintaining commonality with other Anduril Maritime systems.Design electrical interfaces and enclosures for integration of sensors, and peripheral equipment for autonomous systemsTroubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both test equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and basic software debugging toolsDevelop subsystems (sensors, interfaces, power management, and networking) for bespoke capabilitiesWork closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional productsWork in a fast-paced environment balancing schedule against cost and performance parametersConduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews, perform requirements analysis, and plan system verification to ensure compliance with project goals and industry standardsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systemsKnowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuitsExperience developing schematics, interconnect diagrams, and wiring harnessesCompetence with test equipment such as multi-meter, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and automation of testsExperience with electro-mechanical and electrical design conceptsExperience in fieldable system designHigh-ownership and a bias toward action – if you see a problem, you want to solve and fix itEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearanceAbility to travel 5%PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience designing electronic circuits and hardware kitsExperience designing electrical and power systems for autonomous systemsComfortable in conducting worst case circuit or uncertainty and fault analysisExperience with high reliability and/or autonomous systemsFamiliarity with designing for rugged environmentsUS Salary Range$132,000—$175,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
