Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement personalized therapy interventions that help patients regain independence and improve their daily lives
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner to support the care team and ensure compliance
- Assist with patient and family education so they feel confident and empowered after discharge
- Communicate patient status and responses to the supervising Occupational Therapist to keep the plan of care on track
- Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to maintain a safe and healing environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active COTA license in Pennsylvania (or the ability to obtain one before start)
- Strong teamwork and patient care skills
- A genuine passion for helping others restore independence
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Occupational therapy interventions and treatment techniques
- Patient care and patient education
- Accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Teamwork and interprofessional communication
- Compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
