Medical Office Specialist - Cardiology - ASAP Start | Decatur, TX
Award-winning, private practice seeking full-time Medical Office Specialist able to start immediately with 1 year of  Cardiology practice experience to join our team in Decatur, providing patient intake for 30-40 patients/day.  ASAP start with immediate benefit s (full list below)

Pay: $19/hr - $20/hr | based on experience 
Schedule: Mon to Fri, 8a - 5p | 40 hours per week 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 1 years of experience as a Medical Front Office specialist in Cardiology
• Proficient at managing front office independently, basic admin experience
• Comfortable with high-volume calls
• Accurate documentation skills, EMR system skills
• Proficient with pre-registration – experienced in
• 1. Verifying demographic information
  2. Obtaining Prior Authorizations
  3. Collecting deposits & co-payments
  4. Creating new patient accounts as needed.
• Highly experienced, dependable, enthusiastic professional.
• Dependable and capable of being on time.
• Empathetic with patient's needs and concerns.
• Positive and professional attitude.

Job Summary:

1. Schedule appointments, manage patient intake, answer high-volume calls
2. Document patient information accurately and efficiently into EMR.
3. Familiar with EMR systems
4. Ensure accuracy of all data entered into calendar, an EMR, and software systems.
5. Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing or financial matters.
6. Collect co-pays and other payments from patients at time of service.
7. Perform pre-registration functions –Verify demographic information
8. Obtain Prior Authorizations
9. Collect deposits & co-payments
