As a Security Officer - Shipping Operations in Phoenix, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.73 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location. Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor registrations, and authorization requirements for entry to restricted areas. Control visitor, contractor, and vendor access by issuing credentials, maintaining access records, and communicating entry requirements. Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
