Accounting Specialist

We are seeking three detail-oriented Accounting Specialists for a six-month contract position. The successful candidates will be integral to a major system transition from Grover to Oracle, providing essential support for manual accounting and billing processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. These positions are fully on-site, five days per week.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, calculate, and issue customer invoices and credits accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for billing and financial discrepancies.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, for data analysis.
• Research and resolve customer billing issues, partnering with internal teams as needed.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service to resolve outstanding concerns.
• Verify data accuracy and ensure compliance with internal processes and service standards.
• Manage multiple priorities and support additional finance and administrative tasks as needed during the system transition.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• A minimum of 1+ year of experience in billing, finance, or accounting is required.

Technical & Professional Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis.
• Strong customer service skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a shared services or high-volume billing environment.
• Data entry and administrative support experience.
• Experience in the gaming or hospitality industry.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $29.00/hr
