We're Looking for a Next-Level AGM

We're looking for a next-level Assistant General Manager to join our outdoor hospitality leadership team in Wisconsin.

This isn't your typical AGM role.

We're looking for someone who can thrive outdoors, think on their feet, manage a million moving pieces, understand the numbers, and turn crazy ideas into things that actually work.

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $55,000-$60,000 annually

Housing Included: 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house with a fenced-in backyard located directly on the property.

Seasonal Schedule

Off-Season: Monday-Friday schedule focused on planning, projects, training, operational improvements, and preparing for the upcoming season.

Peak Season: This is a primarily second-shift leadership role designed to complement and offset the General Manager's schedule.

During the season, this position will include:

• All weekends are required
• Primarily second-shift hours
• Regular Manager on Duty (MOD) shifts
• High guest interaction and team leadership during peak operating hours
• A hands-on leadership presence throughout the resort
• Flexible scheduling based on operational needs, events, and occupancy

This is a seasonal business, and the schedule changes significantly with the operation. We need someone who embraces that rather than someone who is looking for a traditional Monday-Friday management position year-round.

Makes quick decisions when things get crazy and can remain calm when the operation is moving a hundred miles an hour.

Knows how to lead a team while still being willing to jump in wherever needed.

Doesn't mind weekends and second shifts and understands that peak-season leadership means being present when our guests and team need us most.

Isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. You're just as comfortable walking a property and solving an operational issue as you are sitting behind a computer analyzing the numbers.

Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all facets of daily resort operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position designed to complement and offset the General Manager while providing strong leadership coverage during the resort's busiest operating hours.

The AGM will play a key role in leading Housekeeping, Front Office, and Recreation , while also supporting the overall operation of the resort.

The successful candidate will have outstanding communication, organizational, leadership, financial, and customer service skills. Management experience in hospitality, retail, restaurant, recreation, tourism, campground, resort, or another customer-facing operational environment is preferred.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes ownership, moves with urgency, thinks creatively, and gets things done.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in leading, directing, and managing all resort operations including, but not limited to, resort budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, strategic planning, company policies, and brand standards.
• Work closely with the General Manager to monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability, labor efficiency, and overall resort performance.
• Develop relationships to extend the RV resort's brand within the local community through philanthropic or paid efforts in collaboration with the Director of Marketing.
• Responsible for all recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, assessing, evaluating, coaching, counseling, recognizing, and rewarding team members with assistance if needed from the General Manager.
• Ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies, operational procedures, safety standards, and company expectations.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to quickly and effectively address issues that could adversely affect the resort, guest satisfaction, or overall operation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies that regulate RV resort and campground operations.
• Provide data and operational insight to assist with capital expenditure and expansion budget needs.
• Serve as a multi-department leader for Housekeeping, Front Office, and Recreation .
• Serve as Manager on Duty according to the resort's seasonal schedule.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence during primarily second-shift operating hours throughout the peak season.
• Oversee service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance, and financial performance.
• Assist in identifying operational performance, productivity, and efficiency gaps and implementing measures to correct those deficiencies.
• Lead by example and jump into operational areas when additional support is needed.
• Serve and act as General Manager in their absence.

Marginal Functions

• Work with the General Manager and Marketing Department to increase reservations, occupancy, revenue, and overall brand awareness.
• Assist team members with handling and resolving guest complaints.
• Enforce resort rules and standards with guests and team members.
• Prepare and submit all reports to the General Manager and Corporate Management as requested and according to scheduled due dates.
• Assume responsibilities of any line-level employee as needed.
• Assist with special events, peak periods, emergencies, and other operational needs.
• Support company-wide initiatives and projects as needed.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of management or comparable leadership experience.
• Hospitality, campground, resort, hotel, restaurant, retail, recreation, or tourism experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and knowledge of AI and how to use it.
• Ability to understand and utilize financial and operational information to make sound business decisions.
