Title: IT Specialist Work Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73127 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Summary Engineering Specialist II responsible for hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and engineering-related services. Supports engineering systems, workstations, storage devices, and technical equipment. Diagnoses and resolves hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, storage, and file system issues. Works in a fast-paced environment supporting engineering and business operations. Requires strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, communication, customer service, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities Provide hands-on technical support for engineering systems, workstations, storage devices, and related equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, storage, and file system issues. Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows, Mac OS, and Linux systems. Perform system imaging, software deployments, upgrades, and patch management. Troubleshoot file systems, storage configurations, and RAID environments. Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, solutions, procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges. Follow established processes and procedures while maintaining quality and accuracy. Provide technical assistance and customer service to internal stakeholders. Maintain equipment inventory and ensure proper handling of technical assets. Support engineering labs, testing environments, and technical operations. Participate in continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives. Perform hardware diagnostics and system performance analysis. Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides and technical documentation. Follow all safety, security, and compliance requirements. Required Skills Associate degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum 2+ years of hands-on technical experience in IT, engineering, or a related technical environment. Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities. Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS, and Linux operating systems. Basic understanding of file systems: FAT NTFS HFS+ APFS EXT Basic understanding of RAID technologies, including RAID 0 and RAID 1. Familiarity with storage systems and data management concepts. Knowledge of hardware diagnostics and system performance analysis. Experience documenting technical procedures and troubleshooting guides. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good adaptability and time-management skills. Strong initiative and accountability. Customer-focused approach. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CISSP, Microsoft 365, CEH, CHFI, or AWS are preferred. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while working at a computer workstation. Ability to bend, reach, and handle technical equipment.
