Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to site expectations.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information with school staff, supervisors, and/or local authorities as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
