All applicants will receive consideration regardless of membership in any protected status as defined by applicable state or federal law, including protected veteran or disability status.ResponsibilitiesThe Transition To Practice RN responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assesses and evaluates the clinical competency of students, nonlicensed and licensed personnelDevelops department based orientation plan in collaboration with preceptors, dept leadership and Clinical EducationProvides supervision and clinical instruction to students, licensed and nonlicensed employees on orientation in collaboration with preceptorsEvaluates students, licensed and nonlicensed employees' progress with acquiring core and specialized competenciesSupports quality improvement initiatives and provides just in time education as neededSupervises and coordinates other licensed personnel in the provision of orientation, inservice education and implementation of quality improvement plans.Serves as a clinical practice resource and provides mentorship to students, licensed and non licensed employees.Reports to the appropriate manager, director, or vice president.This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements.
