Civil Engineer

Position Summary: Monte Vista Consulting is seeking a Civil Designer to fill a senior technical position on our design team, with responsibility for design and plan production along with the mentorship of junior engineering staff. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progressively assume project management responsibilities as a long-term component of the role. Prepare and manage site improvement plans including grading, utility, and drainage design across a range of projects Translate architectural concept plans into civil engineering design deliverables Coordinate design work with survey data, geotechnical reports, and applicable jurisdictional requirements Provide technical mentorship and review for junior engineering and design staff Support quality control review of plan sets prior to agency submittal Participate in client and agency coordination Required Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Working understanding of the civil site design process, including grading, drainage, utility design, and plan production Experience with residential, commercial, industrial and subdivision land development projects Ability to interpret and work from architectural concept plans Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated capacity to mentor less experienced staff Preferred: Prior exposure to project management responsibilities EIT or PE licensure, held or in progress Salary & Benefits: Salary range: $75,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match Health insurance reimbursement Paid time off (PTO) Support for professional licensure and continued technical development #J-18808-Ljbffr
