Per-diem Clinician

JOB DESCRIPTION The Community Clinic has masters level clinicians (licensed or license eligible) to provide high-quality clinical treatment in a growing agency. Per-diem clinicians deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy to diverse populations. Per-diem clinicians are responsible for completing clinical documentation in a timely manner and bringing up safety concerns with their assigned supervisor as soon as possible. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide ongoing mental health and/or substance abuse services through individual, family, and/or group therapy Conduct an initial diagnostic assessments and complete required clinical documentation Present cases for discussion at team Attend staff meetings and required training sessions. Maintain case records to highest standards, including all intake documentation Refer and consult with the program manager about any person served who may need a different level of care, is inappropriate for current level of care, requires change or revision in treatment plan, or transfer to another agency. Develop and update treatment plans as required, identifying specific treatment goals and target dates of attainment Seek consultation and coordination from team members and supervisor on difficult to treat issues. Obtain authorization or refusal of authorization to communicate and coordinate with all service providers involved with person served, including Primary Care Physicians Attend individual supervision on a bi-weekly or monthly basis depending on licensure; attend team meetings as needed Follow all agency policies and procedures QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field (independent licensure highly preferred) LADC-I or LADC-II and meet 105 CMR 168.00, Licensure of Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferred 2-3 years prior experience working with individuals impacted by substance use or mental health challenges Bilingual/multilingual skills a huge plus Previous experience leading group therapy sessions Cultural awareness and humility with an understanding of the way in which systems of oppression impact the mental health needs of low-income communities Team player dedicated to serving as a caring individual for those in need Experience working with individuals impacted by trauma (preferred) Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task efficiently #J-18808-Ljbffr
