Eligibility Specialist

Eligibility Specialist administers the Child Care Assistance Program, determining family eligibility for childcare reimbursement and ensuring compliance with state regulations. Key Responsibilities: Perform data entry for assigned caseload Maintain accurate and complete records for all cases Connect families to appropriate support programs Maintain compliance with paperwork, calls, emails, and required reports Maintain confidentiality of program, client, and provider information Participate in staff meetings Participate in continuing education activities Respond sensitively to families' socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds and individual needs Qualifications: Associate degree from accredited college/university or equivalent education/experience in social work, customer service, data entry, or related field Proficiency with computer and various software packages Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to lift 30 pounds, sit, stand, bend, and twist Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute Current Illinois driver's license and valid vehicle insurance Willingness to complete and maintain required certifications annually
