Primary City/State: Glendale, Arizona. Department: New River Trails-Img Ctr. Work Shift: Day. Job Category: Clinical Care. Location: Banner Imaging (7701 W Aspera Blvd). Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Hours: 7:15am-3:45pm. Overview Banner Health values the role of medical imaging in delivering excellent patient care. This position is part of our imaging team, providing high-quality diagnostic images and supporting physicians in treatment planning and execution. Position Summary This role performs prescribed imaging procedures in accordance with department policies, ensuring optimal care for patients and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Core Functions Performs procedures following referring provider orders, using independent judgment and established protocols. Educates patients and families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed, demonstrating professional conduct and fostering teamwork. Produces high-quality images, prepares and presents them with related patient information for timely interpretation, and maintains accurate documentation. Demonstrates competence in prescribed invasive/interventional procedures when applicable, following established policies. Performs equipment quality-control measurements, troubleshoots issues, and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to safety policies and protecting patient confidentiality. Ensures efficient workflow operation, monitors inventory, and maintains an adequate supply of materials to avoid service interruption. Independently performs prescribed procedures following department policies and protocols for patients. Qualifications National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure by the state regulatory agency. Advance certification in Mammography required within 18 months of hire. BLS certification required. CDL preferred for mobile medical unit roles (travel within local community).
