Patient Advocate RoleProvides role as patient advocate through his/her own role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients' needs for service.Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, specifically patients' activities of daily living.Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring, interacting and providing/assisting in groups.Commits to self-development as it pertains to the role of mental health worker.RequirementsBachelor's degree in any of the social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.Candidate must have excellent written skills.Excellent communication skills.C.N.A.
