Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment & Aerial Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This position is ideal for technicians with experience in the equipment rental industry who enjoy working in a fast-paced shop environment and have strong experience with aerial lifts, construction equipment, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.

Approximately 75% of the fleet consists of aerial equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers. The remaining 25% includes compact construction equipment such as excavators and loaders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on rental equipment
• Complete rental return and check-in inspections
• Conduct safety and operational inspections on equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving:
  • Batteries
  • Wiring and wiring harnesses
  • Controls and switches
  • Other electrical components
• Service and repair:
  • Scissor lifts
  • Boom lifts
  • Telehandlers
• Repair and maintain excavators, loaders, and other compact earthmoving equipment
• Troubleshoot diesel, gas, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Perform fluid changes, lubrication services, and routine PM work
• Test equipment following repairs to ensure proper and safe operation
• Accurately document maintenance and repair activities
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment, construction equipment, or equipment rental mechanic
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Hydraulic repair and troubleshooting experience
• Electrical diagnostic experience including wiring, controls, harnesses, batteries, and switches
• Experience working on diesel and/or gas-powered construction equipment
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics

Preferred

• Equipment rental industry experience
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Scissor lifts
  • Boom lifts
  • Telehandlers
• Excavator and loader repair experience
• Tier 4 diesel engine experience
• Knowledge of DPF, SCR, DEF, and EGR aftertreatment systems
• Experience using diesel diagnostic software and laptops
• Basic MIG or stick welding experience
• Drivetrain and transmission repair experience
