Job Description Summary The Purchasing Planner is responsible for optimizing supplier capacity to meet business goals through strategic capacity modeling and cross-functional collaboration. This role involves maintaining accurate ERP data and managing supplier relationships to balance capacity utilization effectively. Job Description The Purchasing Planner works cross-functionally and with the supplier base to understand capacity and determine the strategy around utilizing available capacity for each of the supplier sites that support the segment. Capacity modeling for all key constraints should be created and maintained, integrating the industrialization and demand profile changes throughout the planning horizons. This is a critical input to the overall purchasing plan and strategic decisions. Essential Responsibilities Manage creation and maintenance of purchasing capacity models for all key constraints within the segment while aligning to the targets of the business Keep ERP systems and tools up to date and accurate to the current purchasing capacity Partner with the demand planning, factory, supply and finance teams to facilitate cross-functional alignment through transparent discussion and decisions Manage relationships with suppliers and local and global supply teams to support execution and proactively optimize capacity constraints for business objectives Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for a purchasing planning segment Eligibility Requirements 25% travel domestically and internationally Requirements 5+ years of experience in manufacturing / supply chain Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college 2+ years of experience specifically in material planning / scheduling function Proven capability with materials management disciplines including S&OP Desired Characteristics Ability to lead, manage and communicate with all levels of the business Inclusive leadership style, proven ability to build a connection with the team APICS certifications (CPIM and/or CSCP) Global experience working with cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to use lean tools for continuous improvement Strong analytical & problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple priorities, act independently, and use sound judgment Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high integrity, employee involvement, safety and teamwork Change agent with energy, passion and enthusiasm ERP (SAP(PMx), Baan, Oracle (Zeal)) experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of the manufacturing processes Descriptif/Résumé du poste Le/La Planificateur/trice Achats est chargé(e) d'optimiser la capacité des fournisseurs à atteindre les objectifs opérationnels grâce à la modélisation stratégique de la capacité et à la collaboration interfonctionnelle. Descriptif du poste Le/La Planificateur/trice Achats travaille de manière interfonctionnelle et avec la base de fournisseurs pour évaluer la capacité et déterminer la stratégie d'utilisation de la capacité disponible pour chacun des sites fournisseurs qui soutiennent le segment. Une modélisation des capacités pour toutes les contraintes clés doit être élaborée et tenue à jour, en intégrant les changements de profil d'industrialisation et de demande, sur l’ensemble des aspects de la planification. Principales responsabilités Gérer l’élaboration et la mise à jour de modèles de capacité d'achat pour toutes les contraintes clés au sein du segment, tout en s'alignant sur les objectifs de la branche Maintenir les systèmes et les outils ERP à jour et veiller à leur précision par rapport à la capacité d’achat actuelle Collaborer avec les équipes Planification de la demande, Production, Approvisionnement et Finance pour faciliter l'alignement interfonctionnel grâce à des discussions et à des décisions transparentes Gérer les relations avec les fournisseurs et les équipes d'approvisionnement locales et mondiales pour soutenir l'exécution et optimiser de manière proactive les contraintes de capacité, afin d’atteindre les objectifs de la branche Faire preuve de leadership dans la communication des processus/programmes/objectifs commerciaux pour un segment de planification des achats Critères d’éligibilité Mobilité : déplacements nationaux et/ou internationaux à prévoir (jusqu’à 25 % du temps) Conditions préalables Au moins 6 à 7 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de la production ou de la chaîne d'approvisionnement BAC+3 dans une université ou un établissement d'enseignement supérieur agréé(e) dans le domaine de la chaîne d’approvisionnement ou dans un domaine connexe 2 à 4 ans d’expérience spécifiquement à un poste de planification/ordonnancement du matériel Plus de 2 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de la gestion du matériel, y compris S&OP Qualifications souhaitées Capacité à diriger, encadrer et communiquer à tous les niveaux de l'organisation Leadership inclusif, capacité avérée à créer un lien solide avec son équipe Certifications APICS (CPIM et/ou CSCP) Expérience du travail avec des équipes interfonctionnelles, à l’international Capacité avérée à utiliser des outils Lean pour l'amélioration continue Solides compétences en matière d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes Capacité à gérer simultanément plusieurs priorités, esprit d'initiative et bon sens Capacité à motiver ses collaborateurs et à maintenir cette dynamique sur la durée, à encourager leur implication ainsi que la sécurité et l'esprit d’équipe Acteur(trice) du changement avec l’énergie, la passion et l’enthousiasme nécessaires Expérience des systèmes ERP (SAP(PMx), Baan, Oracle (Zeal)) dans un environnement de production Connaissance des processus de production Additional Information GE Vernova is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Compensation For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $108,800.00 and $181,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
