Travel Surgical Telemetry RN - $2,703 per week

Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Requirements Active state nursing license required for submission. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience preferred. Previous travel nursing experience preferred. Experience working in a busy, high-acuity hospital environment preferred. Cardiac drip experience required due to floating requirements. Must be flexible with scheduling; self-scheduling is not available. Must be available to work every other weekend (EOW). Must be willing to float to other units as needed. EPIC charting experience required. Responsibilities - Provide nursing care to patients undergoing major abdominal surgeries, including Whipple procedures. - Care for post-operative surgical patients and monitor their recovery. - Manage patients undergoing plastic surgery, ENT, and orthopedic procedures. - Monitor patients' conditions and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention. - Administer and monitor cardiac drips as required by patient condition and unit assignment. - Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective patient care. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the EPIC electronic health record system. - Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care requirements. - Follow hospital protocols and maintain patient safety in a busy Level I Trauma hospital.
