Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments through comprehensive interviews to document clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health at each stage of treatment. \n
- Develop and implement personalized intervention plans aimed at addressing the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups. \n
- Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, optimizing client participation and fostering a supportive atmosphere. \n
- Monitor and assess client progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance therapeutic outcomes. \n
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to create cohesive intervention strategies. \n
- Follow up with healthcare professionals for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care. \n
- Identify potential barriers to recovery and work proactively to mitigate them. \n
- Provide support and resources to family members and primary caregivers to help them manage clients' mental health challenges effectively. \n
This role predominantly serves diverse populations within the Houston area, including individuals experiencing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Your work will focus on providing culturally competent care to enhance the overall well-being of our clients and their families.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. \n
- Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n
- Strong proficiency in the utilization of electronic health record systems, with a preference for familiarity with AVATAR. \n
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically. \n

- Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical settings. \n
- Knowledge of and experience with underlying physical health conditions and addiction disorders. \n
- Familiarity with best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n
- Understanding of the pharmacology related to mental health treatments and medications prescribed by medical specialists. \n
- Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. \n
This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, along with a generous sign-on bonus.
