Salary: $22-$25 per hour

Skills and qualifications

• An aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair
• 
  Demonstrates experience with servicing vehicles
• 
  A valid drivers license and the ability to work legally in the US
• 
  Be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
• 
  Time management and organizational skills as well as hand-eye coordination
• 
  Effective communication and customer service skills
• 
  The ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals as well as relay information in reports
• 
  The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position of Lube Technician, such as bending and reaching, standing for long periods of time, and lifting over 60 pounds

• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
  

Duties and responsibilities

• 
  Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
• 
  Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
• 
  Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
• 
  Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications
• 
  Installing new truck parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
• 
  Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing
• 
  Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles issues
• Repair brake and steering systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
• Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
• Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
• Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations
• 
  Creating detailed service reports for customers
