Inventory Analyst
\nLocation: Romeoville, IL
\nPay: $36–$40 per hour
\nPosition type: Long-term contract
\nStart date: ASAP
\n \nWe are seeking an Inventory Analyst to support accurate inventory management across its manufacturing facilities and third-party warehouses. This is a hands-on role for someone who is detail-oriented, confident in Excel, and comfortable working with Finance, Production, Logistics, Quality, and warehouse teams to research and resolve inventory issues.
\n \nThe analyst will take ownership of key inventory controls and reporting during a team transition. Experience in manufacturing or warehousing is preferred; cost accounting experience is a strong plus. A degree is not required.
\n \nWhat you’ll do
\n- \n
- Reconcile inventory records in the ERP system with warehouse and facility records. \n
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions across departments and with third-party warehouse partners. \n
- Review inventory transfers, receipts, shipments, quantities, and lot codes for accuracy. \n
- Monitor obsolete, slow-moving, expired, and on-hold inventory; prepare aging reports and follow up on next steps. \n
- Support cycle counts and full physical inventories in warehouse and manufacturing environments. \n
- Partner with Production, Logistics, Quality, and Finance to resolve inventory movement and material availability issues. \n
- Assist with month-end close and annual audit requests, including inventory reporting and account analysis. \n
- Reconcile inventory valuation reports to the general ledger and prepare supporting documentation for adjustments. \n
What we’re looking for

- Experience in inventory analysis, inventory control, cost accounting, or a related field. \n
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience. \n
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to work accurately with detailed data. \n
- Experience with an ERP, accounting, or warehouse management system. D365 is a plus, but experience with other systems is welcome. \n
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles; cost accounting experience is a plus. \n
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. \n
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments. \n
- Willingness to work in warehouse and manufacturing areas for inventory counts and investigations. \n
