For additional information and eligibility requirements, contact the VHA Contract Buy Out Program Manager.Core ResponsibilitiesClinical Care: Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat (surgically or medically), and consult for illnesses and injuries of the reproductive and genitourinary systems, including their contiguous structuresSurgical Duties: Perform urological surgeries, including robotic, laparoscopic, open, and endoscopic procedures, as well as inpatient and outpatient surgical carePatient Management: Conduct history and physicals, preoperative evaluations, operative and postoperative notes, progress notes, discharge planning, and follow-upCoordination: Serve as the in-house administrative leader for the Urology Surgery service, coordinating with attending physicians, nursing, clerical staff, and other specialties to maintain a clinic-like environment conducive to quality careEducation: Supervise and coordinate with residents and fellows, ensuring adherence to ACGME education guidelines.Decision-Making: Manage complex, multi-symptomatic patients with severe comorbidities, mental health issues, and chronic pain, making sound clinical decisionsTreat a broad range of urological pathologies with both conservative and surgical options.Provide consultation services to other departments.Maintain licensure and credentials to practice urology, including all diagnostic and therapeutic modalitiesWork Schedule: 0730-1600 M-F
