Our scope spans learning & development, performance, engagement, and belonging, and we approach all of it with a focus on enabling real, lasting capability across the organization.About the Role:We're looking for an experienced L&D Manager who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You bring strong L&D expertise and genuine business acumen, navigate environments where priorities evolve, and leadership input shapes direction, and deliver real impact without waiting for perfect conditions. You'll lead a small, developing L&D team while owning the strategy, design, and scalable execution of our core learning ecosystem and initiatives.In this role, you will... Lead and develop a small L&D team, holding a high bar for execution, providing clear direction and coaching, and maintaining quality and follow-through.Own the end-to-end design and scalable execution of key initiatives, including leadership development, cohort-based learning, and career development, ensuring they function as a connected ecosystem rather than isolated events.Translate our leadership framework into practical, impactful learning experiences that stick through varied formats, touchpoints, and approaches.Translate identified capability needs into well-designed, right-sized learning solutions, working closely with People Partners, managers, and senior leaders to ensure programs are grounded in real organizational needs.Partner on the evolution of our learning management system and broader learning delivery infrastructure.Multiply L&D’s impact by equipping managers and enabling People Partners to adapt and reinforce learning frameworks organically within their respective organizationsQualfications 8+ years of experience in L&D, with at least 5 years managing a team, ideally with experience elevating and scaling an L&D function within a fast-growing organization.Proven ability to design and build scalable learning programs and enablement tools that go beyond awareness to drive real behavior change.Strong program management skills; you can hold multiple workstreams, maintain quality, and keep stakeholders informed without being prompted.Experience translating L&D best practices into what’s appropriate and feasible for a specific organization.You make learning relevant and accessible for a workforce that doesn’t always have time for it.A collaborative, iterative approach to program design. You treat feedback and direction from leadership and stakeholders as part of the process, not a disruption to it, and incorporate it thoughtfully without losing momentum.A management style that holds a high bar. You support your team's growth and create conditions for them to succeed, but you give honest feedback and address performance gaps directly rather than working around them.Bonus QualificationsDiscipline to understand before designing. You read the room, understand how decisions get made, and navigate complexity without needing established infrastructure or perfectly defined processes to do your best work.$191,000 - $229,000 a yearBase Salary RangeThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
