PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify, evaluate and assess health problems and concerns. Coordinate any necessary routine medical interventions needed. Provide nursing care and physician ordered treatments, procedures and mediations to designated students. Maintain effective and productive operation of designated health room and/or treatment sites, including clinic supplies. Assist in the management of all cases of health problem referrals. Function as a health education resource person to school faculty and staff. Provide, maintain, and interpret student health records. Attend student staffings and participate in individual educational plans as appropriate. Maintain appropriate and accurate nursing documentation of all nursing care, treatments, procedures, and medications. Provide health related in-service programs to school personnel when appropriate. Utilize existing health resources to provide appropriate care of students. Attend appropriate seminars, workshops and continuing educational programs related to school health and school nursing practice for professional improvement.
