Shop Manager

We're looking for an experienced Shop Manager to lead a growing fleet maintenance operation in Genoa, OH. This is a full-time opportunity for a hands-on leader who can oversee day-to-day shop operations while supporting a team of technicians, maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment, and ensuring repairs are completed safely and efficiently. If you're an experienced diesel professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role, this could be a great long-term fit.What You'll DoOversee daily shop operations, workflow, scheduling, and repair priorities.Lead, support, and coordinate a team of diesel technicians.Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and fleet equipment.Ensure DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and major repairs are completed properly and on schedule.Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and repairs involving engines, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, and drivability.Oversee repairs and maintenance on dump trucks and other heavy equipment.Monitor parts, tools, work orders, and repair documentation.Communicate with management regarding equipment status, shop needs, and outstanding repairs.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment.Help train and develop technicians while maintaining high standards for quality workmanship and safety.What We're Looking ForMinimum 5 years of diesel mechanic experience, with previous shop leadership or supervisory experience preferred.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Experience with heavy-duty trucks, fleet equipment, and general truck repairs.Experience performing or overseeing DOT inspections and preventive maintenance.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to prioritize multiple repairs and keep shop operations running efficiently.Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to work alongside technicians when needed.Own a complete set of tools.Valid driver's license.Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to safety and quality workmanship.Compensation & BenefitsPays up to $50/hourOvertime available.Annual merit-based wage increases.Annual profit-sharing bonus.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company match.Tool allowance.Uniform service provided.Paid vacation.ScheduleMonday to Friday.Day shift starting at 6:30 AM.Typical 810 hour days, with overtime available after 40 hours.Flexible scheduling available.Occasional emergency roadside service support (minimal).If you're an experienced diesel professional looking to take on a leadership role with a company that values skilled technicians, steady work, competitive compensation, and a strong benefits package, we'd love to speak with you.#MHA #J-18808-Ljbffr
